Super Bingo

Description/Overview
Participants preregistered at the center by purchasing a $6.00 ticket. This entitled them to play twenty games of bingo. 120 tickets were sold. A meal was also prepared at the center for this affair & it cost $3.00 a person. Some of the games of bingo paid out $100.00. There was also a Chinese auction at this event. The center made $2400.00 in one day.

Time and Manpower
The event was four hours. There were ten volunteers & two staff people. Over 120 people attended this event.

Marketing
Articles were placed in the local newspaper as well as the Observer Reporter which is read in two Counties. Flyers were placed in various places across the Burgettstown Area & word of mouth played a big role also.

Audience Served
There were seniors from various centers and even younger people from around Burgettstown & Weirton West Virginia.

Partnerships Utilized
Burgettstown Center partnered with the local paper, with businesses in the community & various other senior centers

Budget/Costs
It cost $300.00 initially for the food items but some people from the center donated at least $300.00 toward this event.

Impact On Center
This center is a very visible focal point in this community. It is a very busy active center
