Young At Heart Games Category: Senior GamesTitle:Young At Heart Games DescriptionWeeklong athletic events held in various locations across the county. Events include bowling, 1 mile walk, basketball foul shooting contest, golf putting contest, tabletop shuffleboard, billards, darts, golf scramble, bocce, horseshoes, football throw, and softball throw. Events are held by age group and sex. Target AudienceParticipants age 50 + OrganizationsColonial Courtyard At Bedford and Bedford Office on Aging are co-sponsors. Donations come from various organizations and individuals across the area. Budget$4500-$6000 with sponsorship money ImpactStarted our first year hoping for 25 people. Had around 60. Last year was the second year with well over 100. Expect even more participation as the word gets out. Has really drawn out individuals of different skill levels. They appreciate the time together. ProblemsRely on sponsors to fund the events and meals for the participants. Hasn't been a problem yet for us. We have great community backing.
